Labour and skills shortages in the Romanian labour market: challenges and potential solutions

This event, organised by the European Labour Authority in cooperation with the National Agency for Employment of Romania, addresses the relevant need for Romania to explore the possible instruments that could be deployed in order to attract workforce, including favouring the return mobility of Romanian citizens working in other EU countries and attracting migration from third countries, in a competitive and fair manner.   

The conference will explore in depth the extent of the labour and skill shortage challenges of Romania, based on the reports of the National Agency for Employment, and the experience of the social partners. It will also present the initiatives undertaken by the Romanian authorities so far, as well as those of other countries.
