Description
ELA, in collaboration with the State Labour Inspectorate of the Republic of Lithuania, organises a national training for inspectors in Lithuania. This two-day training event aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of labour inspectors in various areas related to their work. The training provides a comprehensive understanding of ELA's mandate and main activities, focusing on the role of ELA in organising concerted and joint inspections, planning and executing these inspections, and addressing issues related to posting by temporary work agencies and third-country nationals. Participants also gain insights into inspecting posted workers and the analysis activities of ELA.
The second day of the training delves into practical situations regarding the employment of third-country nationals, with a focus on residence and work permits. Inspectors benefit from practical experiences of concerted and joint inspections organised in Lithuania, as well as discussions on posted drivers, particularly those from third countries. The training also covers specific national legislation related to new legal provisions effective from 1 July 2024. This event aims to equip labour inspectors with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively carry out their duties and ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
