Visit of the ELA Delegation to Austria: building and strengthening cooperation with Austria in the field of labour mobility

The ELA Delegation travelled to Vienna, the capital of Austria, to meet with the representatives of the Austrian national authorities and social partners.  The aim of the visit is to engage in discussions on national challenges and priorities for action in the area of labour mobility, while exchanging good practices and exploring cooperation opportunities on topics within the remit of ELA’s mandate. 

The mission is part of a set of tools ELA has put at the disposal of the National Liaison Officers (NLOs) and Member States (MS) to strengthen cooperation between ELA and the national competent authorities and social partners. 

Main objectives:

· Presentation of AT competent authorities;

· Presentation of ELA’s mission, priorities and activities for 2023 and beyond;

· Find out current national priorities and challenges, and exchange good practices in the field of labour mobility;

· Listen to the expectation of the AT competent authorities, related to ELA and discuss further possibilities of cooperation.

Main topics of interest:

· Presentation on the good practice on the use of a social/labour ID card to tackle undeclared work.

· Exchange information on ELA’s role and activities within the European Year of Skills.

· Discuss fight against fraud: challenges of cross-border situations from the AT perspective and its national priorities.
