Tom Bevers, Member from Belgium, and Agnieszka Wołoszyn from Poland have been elected as Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson respectively of the Management Board of the European Labour Authority.
The election of the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson was one of the points of the agenda of the second meeting of the Management Board of the European Labour Authority that took place on 3 December in Bratislava.
As set out in Article 19 of the ELA Regulation, the Chair and Deputy are elected from amongst the members with voting rights, striving for gender balance. The term of office of the Chair and Deputy is three years, renewable once.
The Management Board voted separately for the Chair and the Deputy Chairperson by secret-ballot. Candidates for both positions were able to express their interest in these positions beforehand.
