EURES has launched an information and communication campaign on Jobs for young people. The campaign is running from October 2022 to February 2023, to raise awareness about EURES services among young graduates and university students, as well as employers recruiting young jobseekers.
The European Labour Authority (ELA) supported inspections of working and living conditions of mostly Romanian workers employed in the meat industry in the Netherlands. More than 100 officers from Germany, the Netherlands and Romania were involved. Unworthy workers’ housings conditions across the border in Germany were discovered where 42 workers’ accommodations were checked and their 150 tenants interviewed. The European Labour Authority (ELA) and the European Commission organised an online training session dedicated to the road transport sector on Monday 14 November 2022 to support socially responsible, fairer, and more efficient road transport practices in the EU. The training focused on promoting the new rules and obligations introduced by the Mobility Package I in relation to return of the vehicle, regular weekly rest outside of the cabin and classification of infringements.
The 11th Management Board adopted ELA's priorities for the next year, with a focus on the construction sector in 2023. Tom Bevers and Agniezska Woloszyn re-elected as chair and deputy chair respectively of the ELA’s Management Board.
European Labour Authority (ELA) coordinated its third action week this year, between 10 - 14 October, in the road transport sector. In total 263 vehicles were checked in Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Romania and Slovakia.

European Labour Authority, ELA, launches today an information and awareness raising campaign #Road2FairTransport, which will run intensively in the following weeks and continue until the end of the year in all EU Member States and in multiple languages.
