EURES Spain organized, in cooperation with the National Public Employment Service (SEPE) two events in the context of the EU Week for Seasonal Workers.

The Employment Agency, as a leading partner for Bulgaria in the European Labour Authority's pan-European campaign for seasonal work “Rights for All Seasons”, organises a series of sessions in the country to pay particular attention to promote fair and safe working conditions for seasonal workers employed in EU countries.

The European Labour Authority has for the first time organized a joint inspection between two member states – France and Bulgaria - aiming to properly enforce rights of EU mobile workers. The action took place between 14-17 September in France with the participation of Bulgarian labour inspectors. The purpose of the joint inspection was to tackle recurring serious violations of labour and social rights of seasonal workers in the agricultural sector.

The European Labour Authority has for the first time supported a joint inspection between two member states aiming to properly enforce rights of EU mobile workers. The Authority started preparations for cross-border inspections since its establishment. This week was then the first time a joint inspection facilitated by the Authority actually took place in France with participation of Bulgarian labour inspectors. The joint inspection aimed to tackle recurring serious violations of labour and social rights of seasonal workers in the agricultural sector.

As part of their involvement in the “Rights for all seasons” campaign, EURES Slovakia and the Slovak Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family are organising a webinar on the topic of mobile seasonal workers.

During the EU Week for Seasonal Workers (20−24 September), EURES Italy will promote 10 short videos with useful facts and tips for both jobseekers and employers interested in seasonal work. The videos are part of EURES Italy’s involvement in the European Labour Authority’s campaign “Rights for all seasons”. 

During the campaign’s EU Week for Seasonal Workers (20−24 September), Poland will implement a range of activities and events throughout the country on seasonal work and work abroad, aimed at jobseekers and employers. Wherever you are in Poland, pencil in these suggestions.

During the EU Week for Seasonal Workers (20−24 September), EURES Slovenia and EURES Croatia will organise a cross-border conference to discuss the legal aspects of seasonal work in both countries and to exchange good practices. The event is part of the European Labour Authority’s campaign “Rights for all seasons”.
